Lair of the Lamb: One Shot Edition

๐Ÿ‘ DWAIT version ๐Ÿ‘ OSE version

Lair of the Lamb is 0-level survival horror adventure released by Arnold K in April of 2020 under Creative Commons SA NC 3.0. The original versions (4/13/2020 and 4/24/2020 [Final] are available on his blog, Goblin Punch. Both versions are great.

directsun here, hello ๐Ÿ‘‹. I have been running Lair of the Lamb as a one-shot for several years. What I run has a little bit from both versions and my own house rules and twist. In true spirit to the original work, Iโ€™ve released two versions.

The first could be considered a capsule game. It includes all the rules I use when I run the adventure. Itโ€™s a variation of my ultra-lite system Donโ€™t Worry About It (DWAIT). Iโ€™ve also created a version of Lamb for Old School Essentials (OSE)โ€”also completely playable (with internal links to all the rules youโ€™ll need). While I personally feel that Lair of the Lamb gets a lot of juice from the lightest rules, I included both versions since the OSE stats more closely resemble what every other adventure from the past 50 years looks like. I want to make it as easy as I can for folks to take this and make it their own, like I have. Here are the markdown source files and here are some guides for standing up your own version of this website.

Before you toss your players into the cold dark dungeon, I want to quote Arnold from one of his original posts on Lair of the Lamb:

โ€ฆthis might look like a free adventure, but it is not free. The cost [โ€ฆ] is that you must let me know how it goes when you run it at your tableโ€ฆ

Happy crawling!
